How to connect Kit to your Swipefast checkout

Kit is the email tool that used to be called ConvertKit. Once it's connected, every buyer lands in Kit with the tag or sequence you chose, so your welcome emails, course drip or onboarding start on their own. You set it up once per checkout, or once for all of them.

1. Create a V4 API key in Kit

• 1. Sign in to Kit and open Settings, then Developer.
• 2. Under V4 API Keys, choose Add a new key and give it a name, such as Swipefast.
• 3. Copy the key when Kit shows it.

It has to be a V4 key. The older V3 API key and API secret won't work, and Swipefast tells you so if you paste one.

2. Connect Kit in Swipefast

• 1. In the sidebar, under Utilities, open Integrations.
• 2. Click Add integration on Kit.
• 3. Paste the V4 key and click Connect. Swipefast checks it with Kit before saving.

3. Tag buyers or start a sequence

• 1. Open the checkout in the editor and click the Automation step at the top.
• 2. Click Add a rule.
• 3. Under When, choose Someone buys this checkout.
• 4. Under Do this, choose Update my email tool.
• 5. Pick your Kit account, then Add tag or Start sequence, and the tag or sequence to use.
• 6. Click Add rule.

Swipefast lists the tags and sequences that already exist in your Kit account, so create the tag or sequence in Kit first. When the rule runs, Swipefast sends Kit the buyer's email address: Kit adds them as a subscriber if they're new, then adds the tag or starts the sequence.

Other moments you can send to Kit

The same rule works on four more moments: someone adds the order bump, someone takes the upsell after paying, an order is refunded, and a subscription is cancelled. A few that sellers use:

• Tag upsell buyers, so Kit doesn't pitch them the thing they just bought.
• Tag refunds, and use that tag in Kit to stop the course drip.
• Start a win-back sequence when a subscription is cancelled.

To set a rule for every checkout at once, use Automations in the sidebar instead of one checkout's Automation step.
