Where your money goes and when you get paid

How payments flow from your buyer straight into your own Stripe account, what Swipefast and Stripe each charge, and where to see your payouts.

The path of a payment

  • A buyer pays on your checkout.
  • The payment goes to your Stripe account, not to Swipefast.
  • Stripe takes its processing fee.
  • Stripe pays out your balance to the bank account you gave it, on its payout schedule.

Swipefast takes 0% of your sales. You pay for your Swipefast plan, and Stripe charges its normal fees.

When you get paid

Payout timing is set by Stripe, not Swipefast. A new Stripe account's first payout can take longer than later ones. To see your balance and upcoming payouts, open Settings or the Stripe panel in Integrations and click Open my Stripe dashboard. It signs you straight in, with no password.

Check where each payment method goes

Open Integrations. The Where your money goes panel shows each payment method and whether it's Live or Test. If Cards says Test, card payments aren't reaching you yet, so finish connecting Stripe first.

  • Cards: your connected Stripe account.
  • PayPal: your connected PayPal account, if you added one.
  • Lemon Squeezy: available per checkout, if connected. Lemon Squeezy takes the payment and pays you on its own schedule.

Reading your numbers in Swipefast

The Sales page shows Gross revenue, Refunded, Commission owed and Net revenue. Net revenue here is gross revenue minus refunds and affiliate commission. It doesn't subtract Stripe's fees, so check Stripe for the exact amount that reached you.

If you run an affiliate programme, Commission owed is what your partners have earned. You pay partners yourself, and Swipefast keeps track of what's owed.

Tax

Tax is off by default. If you need to charge VAT or sales tax, you can turn on Stripe Tax for each checkout. Read our Stripe Tax guide first, and check your own tax position with an adviser.
